Poems About Children

Poems About Children – Our Children Deserve Better than This

I day dream of the other side

Of a place where truth can never hide

Where everyone is their true self

Without the shame of being yourself

I can see it clearly in my dreams

But I wish I’d see it, for what it seems

I wish today this all would be real

So the bitter truth, won’t be heavy to feel

Our children deserve better than this

Cause their lives should be a complete bliss

It’s Not another game of hit and miss

Yes Our Children deserve Better than this!

Poems About Children – Happy Children’s Day Poem

I Love to see the children play

So free to do whatever they may

So undefined by what they own

They speak their mind with ease and poise

I Love to feel my Grandma’s face

Cause each line tells a story of faith

Each wrinkle holds the memories

Of Love and loss and all her glories

I Love to Hold a baby’s hand

Cause there’s potential not yet planned

There’s innocence in their every laughter

And they sure make my days brighter

Poems About Children – The Children’s Loving Glow

I stare at the people walking slow

At the children’s loving glow

At the skies far beyond

And the ducks swimming in the pond

I see magic everywhere

Angels chant in divine prayer

Maybe we’re just holograms

A projection of God’s mind

What if this world wasn’t real

Does that change the way I feel

Would you love me less or more

If you knew I loved before

We are bound to hit a wall

Would you break through or climb and fall

Maybe there’s another way

So our hearts won’t break away

Poems About Children – Child Abuse

Seven days and Seven nights

As I patiently wait for my ride

And my heart is falling apart

Nothing is left to except my art

Who am I, Nobody knows

Even I, have missed the clues

All the signs, are pointing at you

And I can’t find what is true

Something inside, is pushing outside

Why can’t you say, what’s on your mind

And All the trees with all their thorns

Made me wish I was not yet born

Now I bleed a drop each year

From the scar that won’t ever heal

When child abuse is the case

The healing goes at a Life time’s pace
